Hi, Everyone,
Miami University has posted their opening for up to 10 Heanon Wilkins
Fellows for visiting positions
https://jobs.miamioh.edu/cw/en-us/job/502250/heanon-wilkins-faculty-fellowsvisiting-assistant-professor-or-instructor

Here are some excerpts from the ad:

*Miami University’s Heanon Wilkins Fellows program recruits annual cohorts
of up to ten (10) scholars whose interests align with Miami’s core values
of diversity and community with a particular commitment to inclusive
excellence. Heanon Wilkins Fellows are paired with dedicated mentoring and
intentional preparation for a career in higher education, ideally as
members of Miami’s permanent staff or faculty. [. . .] *

*We welcome scholars from all disciplines to apply as faculty fellows. We
are particularly interested in scholars who will deepen our campus’
interdisciplinary research strength around sustainability and environmental
justice [. . .] *

*The fellowship is for a minimum of one academic year (9-month faculty
appointment) with a strong possibility of reappointment. Faculty fellows
have reduced teaching responsibilities in order to foster a vibrant
research program. All fellows engage in mentoring and career development;
and participate in discussions on inclusive pedagogy and diversity
organized by the Offices of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion and the
Provost.*

The ad does not mention technical communication/rhetoric/writing
specifically, but applicants from those fields are welcome to apply. So if
you know of potential applicants, please share widely.
Thanks,
Heidi

Miami University carries the name of the Myaamia people who, along with the
Shawnee, were forcibly removed from these homelands. Despite centuries of
colonization, the Myaamia people preserve a deep connection to this land
and are engaged in a vibrant resurgence of their heritage language and
culture.

The university maintains a strong reciprocal relationship with the Miami
Tribe of Oklahoma grounded in our shared commitment to learning and each
other.
