<p class="MsoNormal">Hello all - Apologies for cross-posting. The Department of English at Old Dominion University invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric with a specialization in African-American Rhetoric. This is a 10-month annual tenure
track appointment that begins July 25, 2025. This Assistant Professor will teach 3:2 load in the department’s thriving Rhetoric and Writing Studies programs at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels in online, hybrid, and on-site capacities. Specifically,
they will teach general education courses, writing and introductory rhetoric courses for majors, and graduate courses in historical rhetoric and their specialization. They will also engage with the scholarly conversations about African-American rhetoric and
mentor graduate students, and the position offers opportunities for original course offerings in each program. <o:p></o:p></p>
